In the small town of Praia, Cape Verde, you will find a tiny island hundreds of miles away from the coast of West Africa. A capital and the largest city of Cape Verde is known by the name Praia, which is Portuguese for “beach”. Located in the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Verde is an island nation that was founded by Portuguese colonists in 1615.
